Compliance Notice to All Clients!
Does your company accept credit cards? If so, you should be aware by now of the new credit card compliance requirement which goes into effect July 1, 2010 called PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards). Non-compliance can result in up to $200,000 in fines per incident.
The Payment Card Data Security Standard is a worldwide information security standard defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The standard was created to help organizations that process card payments prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise. The standard applies to all organizations which hold, process, or exchange cardholder information from any card.

Tax Table Update-March 31, 2010
Running Sage Accpac ERP Payroll? Sage released tax updates since our last newsletter. Most of the AXIS payroll customers have been contacted and we have installed the updates for you. Please note that Payroll Tax Updates are only being released for versions 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6 at this time, as Sage supports the current version of Accpac (5.6) and the next two versions back (5.5 and 5.4). If you have not installed and activated these tax tables or had AXIS perform the tax update for your company, please contact AXIS at your earliest convenience at 535-928-5000 to have these updates installed. Model CHIPRA notice now available
The Department of Labor (DOL) has recently published a
model notice in accordance with the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA). The Act requires employers that offer group health plans to notify employees of their potential eligibility to receive premium assistance under a state Medicaid or CHIP program. A CHIP program provides assistance to parents in securing health coverage for their children.
